2013 Application

Dear Rotarian,

RYLA is almost here and we're once again planning a Rotary Exhibition Hall to show the RYLA participants *and their parents!* how great Rotary is, how active District 7500 is, and how many wonderful Rotary Clubs we have in our District, so the parents will consider joining Rotary and supporting our work.

We'd love to have a table there representing the entire District 7500, showing all the various projects we support and distributing general Rotary info.

We'd love to have a table there for all of the largest District Projects, for example:

- Gift of Life
- Orchid Foundation
- Rotary Foundation
- Water Project
- Etc.

And we'd love to have a few individual Clubs there, especially those Clubs that send a lot of students to RYLA. It would be great to have at least one individual Club there from each District.

The Exhibit Hall will be set up in the lobby of Pollak Theatre from 5:30pm until 9:00pm on Tuesday, June 26th. The parents and their children will have to walk through the Hall to get into our Reflection Ceremony (which begins at 6:30pm) and again as they leave at around 8:30. So you'll have 2 chances to talk to them about your Project or Rotary Club.

Please let me know if you'd like to be involved.

Dave GoWell
Chair, District 7500 RYLA

PS: We also produce a beautiful Reflection Ceremony booklet and we're selling ads to pay for it. PLease consider advertising your Club, your Project, or just buying an ad to wish all the RYLA Leaders luck and congratulations!

Maple Shade Rotary helps Goodwill's Job Club

The Maple Shade Rotary, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year,
has presented Goodwill Industries of Southern New Jersey with a $1,000
grant to fund the community-based nonprofit agency’s Job Club.

The township Rotary and Goodwill formed a partnership last year. Rotarians have committed to collect donations, increase awareness about Goodwill’s mission, hire graduates of the agency’s training programs, and make financial contributions.

The Maple Shade Rotary, founded in 1970, has 45 members, and operates a scholarship program for township students and participates in charitable projects in the region.

The Rotary grant will fund Goodwill’s community outreach efforts and
marketing initiatives to promote the service.
